Kidnapped journalists: Information minister commends NSA, others

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, has commended the National Security Adviser (NSA), Malam Nuhu Ribadu, for the swift rescue of two kidnapped journalists in Kaduna. AbdulGafar Alabelewe of The Nation Newspapers and AbdulRaheem Aodu of Blueprint Newspapers were abducted from their homes last weekend along with Mr. Alabelewe's wife and two children as reported by Daily Nigeria on Monday, 14th July, 2024.

Idris praised the efforts of the security agencies coordinated by the NSA, which led to the successful rescue of the five victims without paying any ransom. He expressed gratitude on behalf of the government and urged Nigerians to have faith in the current administration and security agencies.
