According to Vanguard, The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed its confidence in its candidate, Asue Ighodalo, and the credibility of its primary election process, despite a recent court ruling. National Legal Adviser, Barr. Kamarudeen Ajibade (SAN), clarified that the Certified True Copy (CTC) of the judgment confirms the party's position, and seven out of eight cases filed against the party have been dispensed with.

Ajibade addressed the National Campaign Council for the Edo State Governorship Election, reassuring them that the court did not nullify the primary election and that the party's candidate remains unshaken. He encouraged the council members to focus on the task ahead, emphasizing that the party's popularity may attract contention, but they should not be discouraged.

Chairman of the Campaign Council, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, charged the committee members to commit fully to the task, leveraging Governor Obaseki's track record to ensure a successful election for the party. The council will divide into committees to facilitate their work and ensure success in the election.
