According to Independent News, Primate Babatunde Ayodele, the founder and spiritual head of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church in Oke-Afa, Lagos, criticized the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN) and other affiliates of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) for not being spiritual organizations. In an address to a large media gathering last Saturday at his church, Primate Ayodele celebrated his 30 years of prophetic ministry, spanning from 1994 to 2024. He asserted that these church groupings are political organizations disguising themselves as the body of Christ.

Given the state of the economy, Primate Ayodele remarked that one would expect CAN and other Christian organizations to develop programs to involve people with their enormous income.

Primate Ayodele emphasized that these organizations buy helicopters and jets under the guise of evangelism, traveling to mega cities like the U.S. claiming to perform healing, all just to make money. He stated that they have turned the church into a comedy, contributing to the issues facing the country and the globe. He expressed that he doesn't need to know any businessmen or others to feel at ease, as he is comfortable enough and doesn't need assistance from politicians or CAN organizations.

During an interview with The Independent, he remarked, "They buy helicopters and jets, claiming that they are doing evangelism. They go to mega cities, like the U.S, claiming they are doing healing, just to make money.

"They've made a comedy out of the church." The issues facing our country and the rest of the globe are partly the pastors' fault.
