Ola Olukoyede, the current Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has shared a story about the time he was investigated by the EFCC and no evidence of wrongdoing was discovered against him

Speaking in a video shared by Channels TV, Olukoyede said during the investigation, authorities found he was a signatory to many bank accounts. He said upon closer inspection, they discovered that the accounts belonged to the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). He said Pastor E.A. Adeboye, the leader of the church, would place a "curse" on anyone who misuses church funds, implying that this acts as a deterrent against corruption.

Olukoyede emphasized that he was not involved in any illegal activities and highlighted the importance of integrity. He mentioned that he believes in keeping his hands clean and having a pure heart.

In Olukoyede's words: "When I was being investigated the only thing they saw was so many accounts I was signatory to, they said they have caught me. They found out it was Redeem's church accounts, I said Baba Adeboye will put curse on you if you touch his church money. Let our hands be clean and let our hearts be pure. That is the only thing that can help you"
