Sumner Sambo, a political analyst, has commented on the political crisis in Rivers State involving Governor Fubara and his predecessor, former Governor Nyesom Wike.

In an interview with Arise TV which was shared on YouTube, Sambo said Governor Fubara recently said some of his commissioners were imposed on him and some local government chairmen were abusing him. He questioned why Governor Fubara didn't consider the consequences when he signed political agreements and formed alliances with former Governor Wike to secure his position as governor. He also emphasized the importance of allowing state institutions to function independently without interference.

In Sambo's words: "Now he is coming out of recent to tell us some commissioners were imposed on him and some local government chairmen were abusing him and all of that. When he (Fubara) was signing all those agreements and entering into political alliances with Wike to become governor, didn't he know that there were repercussions? The institutions of state must be allowed to function"
