Troops Arrest Suspected Terrorists In Imo, Kwara

Troops of Operation Udo Ka have arrested suspected kingpins of the Indigenous People of Biafra and their Eastern Security Network (IPOB/ESN) in Imo State and recovered cache of arms and ammunition.

The Nigerian Army in a statement on its official social media handles said troops also tracked and arrested a suspected terrorist in Kwara State and recovered an AK-47 rifle from the hoodlum.

According to the statement, in collaboration with other security forces, troops conducted successful raids on IPOB/ESN hideouts, leading to the arrest of key terror kingpins.

Tinubu Condoles Ali Modu Sheriff

President Bola Tinubu has commiserated with the former Governor of Borno, Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, over the passing of his mother, Hajiya Aisa.

PUNCH Online reports that Hajia Aisha died on Sunday in Abuja after a protracted illness, at the age of 93.

She will be buried today, Monday, at the family residence of the late Galadima Modu Sheriff along Damboa Road in Maiduguri, Borno State Capital.


IG Condemns Borno Bomb Attack, Deploys Additional Personnel

The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has condemned the recent suicide bombings in Gwoza, Borno State.

In a statement posted by the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, on its X account on Monday, the IG also extended condolences to the government and people of Borno State, particularly the families and loved ones of those affected.

The IG has also deployed additional personnel and resources to Borno State to bolster security, prevent further attacks, and reassure residents of the force’s obligation to their safety and security.


Wike Is Like FCT Gov, Abuja People Not Impressed With Him- Seun Kingibe

Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Senator, Ireti Kingibe, has accused the minister, Nyesom Wike of ignoring the needs of the people of the capital city.

Kingibe likened Wike to a governor or president of the FCT who chose to focus on infrastructural development rather than the needs of the people.

Speaking on Arise TV, the senator said FCT residents are unimpressed with Wike’s performance.
