Former Senate President, Adolphus Wabara has alleged that former presidents, Olusegun Obasanjo and Muhammadu Buhari refused to honour both himself and former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, respectively with the title of the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON), because they worked against their governments during their tenures in office.
Adolphus Wabara who made such allegation during an interview with Nigerian journalist and media personality, Adesuwa Giwa-Osagie, which was uploaded on X few hours ago, stated that Muhammadu Buhari withheld Bukola Saraki's GCON and Olusegun Obasanjo withheld his GCON, because they did not support them, adding that he was pained about it because it is his right.
In his own words, Adolphus Wabara mentioned that;
"Buhari did not honour Sarika with GCON and Obasanjo did not honour me with my GCON, just because we did not support them. Saraki did not support Buhari and I did not support Obasanjo. We fall in the same problem. It pained me because it's my right."
