Protest: Kawu Garba Reacts After Dan Bello Said Kenyans Are Waking Up But Nigerians Still Sleeping

President William Ruto refused to endorse the controversial finance bill recently approved by Kenya's lawmakers, which aimed to increase taxes. On Tuesday, several casualties occurred as police used live ammunition against protesters attempting to breach Kenya's Parliament.

The unrest led to parts of the Parliament building being set ablaze. The military was deployed alongside the police to address what was described as a security crisis in the country. Previously, Ruto had cautioned that his administration would adopt a firm stance against "violence and chaos," drawing comparisons between some demonstrators and "criminal elements."

Amid what's happening in Kenya, a journalist, filmmaker, teacher and ranter, Dan Bello, posted a video online to say while Kenyans are waking up, Nigerians are still Sleeping. In the video, Dan Bello compared the situation of Nigerian economy and instead of people coming out to protest, they find a way to endure.

After this video surfaced online, it stirred lots of views and reactions online, and one of them is Kawu Garba, a politician commentator, who said Dan Bello, is living in China, an undemocratic country where people don't have the right to their freedom of expression but you are encouraging anarchy in Nigeria.
