Chief Justice of Nigeria to Swear in Daughter-in-Law, 11 Others as High Court Judges

The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola, will administer the oath to 12 new High Court judges for the Federal Capital Territory on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. This information was shared by Dr. Festus Akande, the Director of Press and Information at the Supreme Court. The swearing-in ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. in the Main Courtroom of the Supreme Court, as reported by PUNCH.

Among those being sworn in is Justice Ariwoola’s daughter-in-law, Ariwoola Oluwakemi Victoria. The full list of appointees is as follows:

On May 17, 2024, the National Judicial Council recommended 86 judicial officers for appointment to various federal and state courts. These recommendations were made by the council’s Interview Committee during the NJC’s 105th plenary meeting held from May 15 to 16, 2024.

This information was disclosed in a statement by the council’s Director of Information, Soji Oye.
