Oseni Rufai Confirms The Abduction Of the Two Journalists and Their Families in Kaduna By Gunmen

Oseni Rufai has shared a post on his verified Twitter page stating that, gunmen abducted Abdulgafar Alabelewe of The Nation and Abdulraheem Aodu of Blueprint newspapers in Kaduna.

According to Channels Television, the attack happened on Saturday night, with the criminals targeting the nearby homes of the two journalists.

A family member also informed Channels Television that gunmen attacked Danhonu community at around 10:30 pm, specifically targeting the homes of two journalists who live near each other. They were taken with their wives and kids.

Oseni Rufai wrote this in a post on his verified Twitter page.

In his words, "Gunmen have abducted Abdulgafar Alabelewe and Abdulraheem Aodu, journalists with The Nation and Blueprint newspapers respectively, in Kaduna.

The abduction occurred on Saturday at Danhonu community, in the Millennium City area of Kaduna, around 10pm.

Alabelewe, chair of the correspondents’ chapel of the Nigeria Union Journalists (NUJ), was abducted alongside his wife and two children.

Aodu was also taken with his wife. Both journalists are neighbours."
