Luke Shaw has made a surprising claim that Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka is actually a Manchester United supporter, according to Football.London

Saka, who is currently playing for England at Euro 2024, played a crucial role in England's quarter-final against Switzerland by scoring a vital equalizer that pushed the match into extra time and penalties.

Saka then calmly converted a penalty, helping England secure a spot in the semi-finals where they will face the Netherlands.

Reflecting on his performance, Saka was asked to rank his memorable moments in football.

He chose his goals against Manchester United as his favorite, having scored three times against them. Shaw responded to this by saying, "It's because he supports United, that's why it's his favorite." Saka quickly countered, "Look at him, he's trying to do all this lying again!"

Shaw, not backing down, retorted, "I'm lying? Be honest. We can ask anyone in the squad. He's so bad [at lying]."

These comments follow Saka's previous statements from May, where he named Old Trafford as his favorite stadium to play in.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Saka said, "When you start from outside, growing up watching football, the special nights you've seen in the Premier League and Champions League at Old Trafford, it was nice to be on the pitch and to play.

I have played there a few times now and I think it is definitely my favorite stadium to play in."

Saka also acknowledged the significance of the Arsenal versus United fixture, saying, "The two teams are so big in English history and they have had rivalries for many, many years. Every time I play against them, I understand that - from growing up - Arsenal fans and Man United fans are always going at each other.

I understand it. It is always a big, big game - and it will be on Sunday. I am looking forward to it and I always enjoy to play games like this."
