Reports have surfaced from the raid in Akure, the capital of Ondo State, thanks to Olanipekun Olukoyede, the Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The EFCC operatives conducted a sting operation at an event called the "Yahoo Party" in Akure, Ondo State, and arrested several people they suspected of being internet fraudsters. The event took place at the Signature and Abah Clubs.

Olukoyede, head of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), provided some insight into the situation, saying that 127 cyber fraudsters were apprehended by EFCC agents while the celebration was going on.

The dangerous consequences of Nigerians' cybercrime were pointed out by him.

In a video posted by TVC News, Olanipekun Olukoyede said, "As I am speaking with you, about one hundred and twenty-seven people were arrested; it was a Yahoo party.".
