Arsenal ready to pay £49m to sign Nico Williams

Arsenal are reportedly prepared to activate Nico Williams’ £49million release clause. The Athletic Bilbao star has impressed at Euro 2024 recently, and his performances have seen him linked with a move to the Premier League as a result. According to CaughtOffside , Arsenal are ‘ready’ to activate Williams’ release clause and are advancing in the race to secure his signature. Chelsea are also keen on the Spain international, though they have their doubts over the finances involved in striking an agreement with the player.

Man United in race to sign David

Manchester United and Chelsea are among four Premier League clubs fighting it out for the signature of Jonathan David. The Lille and Canada striker has entered the final 12 months of his contract in France and is set to be made available for transfer. The Guardian say the forward could even be available for as little as £20million despite scoring 83 goals in four seasons at Lille. With a move for Aston Villa's Jhon Duran having stalled, Chelsea are now looking at David but will face plenty of competition to land the player.

Leicester could lose £30m key man

Premier League newcomers Leicester could be poised to lose key midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to Brighton. Per the Telegraph , the Seagulls are keen on the £30million-rated player who was pivotal to Leicester's Championship title-winning season. Dewsbury-Hall, 25, scored 12 goals for the Foxes and was named in the Team of the Season. He has three years left on his Leicester contract but it is thought £30m could be enough to prise him away from the King Power Stadium.

West Ham 'seriously interested' in Chelsea hijack

West Ham have now joined the race to sign Lille’s Jonathan David, reports Sky Sports Germany . The forward has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea in recent weeks but the Hammers have now emerged as one of the front runners to secure his signature as they are 'strongly interested'. Manchester United are also in the frame, with £20million expected to be enough to lure him away from the Ligue 1.
