According to Daily Trust, Dr. Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa, a prominent figure in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has made explosive allegations against FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, claiming that he is exacerbating the ongoing crisis within the party.

Dr. Inuwa, who served as the campaign director for Atiku/Lado in Katsina State during the 2023 general elections, made these claims during a stakeholders' meeting in Katsina, where party members gathered to address internal issues.

According to Dr. Inuwa, some stakeholders in Katsina have accused a faction led by the 2023 governorship candidate, Yakubu Lado Danmarke, of misconduct, including hiding party Congress forms and distributing them secretly to favor a single individual's control over the state party structure.

Dr. Inuwa alleged that this faction, backed by the state caretaker committee appointed by the national working committee, aims to undermine the party's stability and success.

The meeting, chaired by former national secretary Sen. Umar Ibrahim Tsauri, resolved to take necessary steps to salvage the party in Katsina before the upcoming congresses. Dr. Inuwa accused FCT Minister Wike of working to weaken the PDP in favor of President Tinubu's interests ahead of the 2027 election, using stooges in the state to achieve this goal.

The allegations have sparked concerns about the party's internal conflicts and their potential impact on future elections.

In his own words; “Their main (Wike) aim was not to win the election but to weaken the party (PDP) ahead of the 2027 election in favor of President Tinubu and that is why they are using stooges in the state to fulfill their mission.”
