A Spritual Leader of Catholic Archbishop of Abuja Diocese, Most Rev. Ignatius Kaigama has said that if the country undergoes the creation of regional government with corruption, self-centeredness, dishonesty, it will result to no change rather worsen the situation.

He emphasized that if the country is divided into fifty states and the issue of corruption is not addressed, it is just a waist of time. He called for prayers for the country against the backdrop that prayers are more powerful and we must emulate Jesus Christ.

While expressing disaffection with the economy hardship facing Nigerians, the cleric noted that despite the difficulties the people are still smiling, trusting the Lord.

He urged Nigeria leaders to concentrate addressing the problem of poverty in the land, insecurity, kidnapping and put an end to the luxury lives, world of affluence they live every day to the detriment of the masses.

According to Vanguard, he said, "If you divide Nigeria into fifty States and the issue of corruption is not addressed, we are wasting our time. We must pray, prayer is more powerful, let us emulate Jesus Christ, we must change our orientation.”
