Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, a prominent aspirant in the 2024 Ondo Primary election under the All Progressives Congress (APC), has raised serious allegations of being disenfranchised during the voting process. Despite being a qualified aspirant in the election, Ibrahim claimed he was unable to participate in the voting exercise, citing irregularities and a lack of transparency in the conduct of the election.

Expressing his discontent, Senator Ibrahim criticized the APC National Working Committee (NWC), accusing them of lacking moral integrity in overseeing the election. He revealed that on the election day, he contacted the National Chairman to address his inability to cast his vote due to the absence of voting activities at his designated polling unit by 3:00 PM.

In response to his concerns, the National Chairman purportedly assured him of sending individuals to his residence to facilitate his participation in the election. However, Senator Ibrahim asserted that when the representatives arrived at his house at 7:00 PM, they attempted to collect his vote, which he vehemently opposed. He argued that his residence was not an official polling unit, questioning the legitimacy of such actions and highlighting the potential implications on the integrity of the electoral process.

In an interview with Channels TV, Senator Ibrahim expressed his dismay, stating, "I told APC NWC that they don't have conscience. I couldn't vote in my election that I paid N50M to buy the form, I paid N100M for verification of membership." He reiterated the sequence of events on the election day, emphasizing the discrepancy between the promised resolution and the actions taken by the representatives sent to his residence.
