Party officials will be making important decisions at Thursday's National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting. Prior to this gathering, Prince Uche Secondus, a former national chairman of the PDP, has delivered a stern warning to the party officials.

Secondus allegedly accused Nyesom Wike, the current minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), of attempting to use the PDP as a political weapon to maintain her relevance under Tinubu's administration, as reported by Leadership News. As a prominent figure within the PDP, Wike is remembered for his time as governor of Rivers State.

Wike is allegedly aiming to give the impression that he and Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) for the year 2023, are in disagreement with one another, as stated by Secondus.

In this way, Wike is attempting to make himself appear more significant within the PDP, but in reality, he is losing political influence, as stated by the former chair of the PDP. Without allowing themselves to be distracted by Wike's "busybody antics," Secondus urges the leadership of the PDP to restore the party to the splendour it once possessed. He gives the impression that President Tinubu is growing "fed up" with Wike's efforts to inject politics into the management of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), and that this is the reason why Wike is acting in a manner that is unpleasant.
