The Force Public Relations Officer of the Nigeria Police, Muyiwa Adejobi, on Monday, July 15, 2024, mourned the death of his elder brother who was shot by some assailants nine years ago.
Adejobi wrote an eulogy for his elder brother on his Facebook wall, saying the man, Dr Deji Adejobi, was shot dead in the Ile Ife area of Osun State on July 15, 2015, by those who he said were threatened by his feat as a young academic.

According to Adejobi, the entire family missed him but he missed him more than anyone else because no one has been able to fill the vacuum his death created in the family.
Adejobi wrote: "It's exactly nine years ago that you left this sinful world. You were shot and your life was abruptly terminated by some assailants who were threatened by your feats as a young academic in Ile Ife, Osun State.
"The entire Afelele ruling house, Owu communities, home and broad, will forever miss you. I miss you more than anyone because no one has been able to fill the vacuum your death created. Dr. Adedeji Iyanda Adejobi, rest in peace."
