Siminalayi Where Are You - Pro-Wike Loyalists Mock Rivers Gov. As Court Reinstate Them As Lawmakers

opera.com 2 days ago

The Court of Appeal in Abuja has recently made a significant ruling, overturning the expulsion of Martin Amaewhule, a former speaker of the Rivers House of Assembly, and 24 other lawmakers. Initially, a Rivers State High Court in Port Harcourt had prohibited these lawmakers from functioning as members of the state's House of Assembly after they switched allegiance from the PDP to the APC.

This legal battle has unfolded amidst a broader political feud between the embattled lawmakers, supported by former governor Nyesom Wike (now the FCT minister), and Governor Siminalayi Fubara over control of the political landscape in the oil-rich state.

In response to the court's ruling, three lawmakers loyal to Governor Fubara have been managing the legislative affairs of the Rivers State assembly. The case underscores ongoing tensions and legal intricacies within Rivers State's political arena.

Amid that court judgment, the Pro-Wike, after that, couldn't hold their excitement as they created a song already celebrating the Appeal court judgment. In the video shared by Port Harcourt People on X, the Pro-Wike lawmakers were seen singing, saying "Siminalayi, where are you, Opopo Judas, where are you".
