Former President Uhuru Kenyatta's first cousin, Captain (Rtd) Kung'u Muigai, a prominent figure and the patron of Kiama Kia Maa, has recently made a significant call for unity within the Mount Kenya region.

In a compelling address, he urged the people of Mt Kenya to throw their support behind the current administration led by President William Ruto, emphasizing the importance of allowing the government the necessary time to fulfill its commitments and promises.

During his address, Captain (Rtd) Kung'u Muigai stressed the need for solidarity and collaboration, urging the citizens and leaders of the region to refrain from constant criticism of the government and instead offer their support. His impassioned plea, as reported by The Star, served as a rallying cry for unity and cooperation among the people of Mount Kenya.

Furthermore, Captain (Rtd) Kung'u Muigai addressed concerns raised by certain Murang’a leaders who expressed discontent with the government's handling of recent protests and the impact of high living costs and heavy taxation.

He refuted claims of government instability and cautioned against the spread of misinformation by certain politicians who have been attempting to sow seeds of doubt regarding the stability of President Ruto's administration.

In a firm and resolute tone, he dispelled any notions of the government's impending collapse, asserting that even administrations led by individuals deemed incompetent do not simply crumble. With a clear message directed at those attempting to undermine the current leadership, he urged them to cease their disruptive actions and allow the government to carry out its duties effectively.

As he brought his address to a close, Captain (Rtd) Kung'u Muigai reiterated the importance of patience and steadfastness, reminding the people of Mount Kenya that the upcoming elections in 2027 would provide the opportunity for any necessary changes.

He firmly stated that the government is in place and it is imperative for everyone to fulfill their responsibilities, while cautioning against the dangerous game of destabilizing the current administration.
