According to the Rivers State Government, they understand the importance of religious groups to our society's moral and social fabric.

Port Harcourt's Governor Siminalayi Fubara made the announcement on June 30, 2024, during her speech at the Salem City of Faith's 36th Anniversary Celebration at Foundation Faith Church in Rumuomasi.

Under the guidance of his Deputy Professor Ngozi Nma Odu, Governor Fubara emphasised that their work aligns with the government's objectives of creating a more resilient and empathetic Rivers State. He also mentioned that the subject for this year, "Rescue," speaks to our spiritual and civic responsibilities.

According to Governor Fubara, during times of difficulty, change, and uncertainty, each of us is called to be a rescuer in our own families, neighbourhoods, and state. For 36 years, the outreach programmes, counselling services, and spiritual guidance of Foundation Faith Church have been a source of hope and rescue for the community.

The State Chief Executive, who recognised the Church's role in rescuing innumerable people from hopelessness and darkness, bestowed a gift of twenty million naira upon the Church.

In his Sermon, Archbishop Sam Amaga, who founded Foundation Faith Church, lectured on the theme of "Rescue," based on Jude 1:23. We were first reconciled to God by Christ so that we could save others, and then our Lord Jesus Christ sent the Church on a rescue mission to Earth to save unbelieving people from torment.

Evangelism, in his view, shouldn't be the exclusive purview of pastors but rather the responsibility of every Christian. The habit of soul-winning, he emphasised, is our principal job as Christ's followers.

The National Coordinating Bishop of Nigeria, Foundation Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop Ogoliegbune Hillary, also spoke. He praised the Rivers State Government for their support and identification with the Church, and he said that God had helped His handmaiden and Founder, Archbishop Sam Amaga, throughout these 36 years by equipping him with His Grace and Mercy, even though the journey had been tough.

Owupele Benebo, Head of Press, Deputy Governor's Office, Port Harcourt, is the source with this information.
