According to a report by Daily Post Nigeria. The Ogun State Government has attributed the fire outbreak at the Ogere Trailer Park in the state's Ikenne Local Government Area on carelessness and a lack of oversight on the part of those in charge of keeping an eye on park visitors' activities.

According to a report by DAILY POST, the park caught fire on Saturday night at approximately 11:00 p.m.

Before destroying a truck that was being repaired at the park, the fire is said to have originated from one of the shops.

An eyewitness claimed that since firefighters weren't there, park visitors doused the fire.

During an inspection tour on Friday, Gbenga Dairo, the Ogun State Commissioner for Transportation, stated that if a routine inspection had been conducted to stop illegal business operations like selling diesel and placing welding and technician workshops close to where the articulated vehicles were parked, the incident would have been prevented.
