Quadri Lawal, a 35-year-old man who was arrested alongside gang members that specialize in hijacking people's motorcycles and ritual killing, admitted that they would dismember human bodies to supply specific parts to certain influential individuals, referred to as 'big men', who would then use them to manufacture black soap. He said their herbalist will sometimes tell him to extract certain body parts.
According to what Quadri Lawal said in a report by Leadership News, "While hunting in the bush, I stumbled upon the lifeless body of a woman, which I then informed Oluawo about. Oluawo requested that I extract certain body parts, which I complied with by cutting off a portion of the human head. One part was kept in my residence, while the other was handed over to Oluawo as requested. We used to cut human parts on demand by some people, ‘big men’ and we use them for black soap making."
