In a recent interview with Arise TV, Ibrahim Abdullahi, the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of PDP, addressed allegations regarding the court's decision on the primary election and the PDP candidate, Asue Ighodalo. Abdullahi clarified that the court did not issue any consequential order affecting the primary or Ighodalo.

Abdullahi emphasized that the court's judgment confirmed the validity of the primary election. He criticized the delegate's counsel for misleadingly suggesting that there was a consequential order, which he claimed has caused unnecessary confusion among the party members and the public.

He asserted that the interpretation of the court's judgment was the main point of contention, not the validity of the primary itself. Abdullahi called for the delegate's counsel to be reprimanded for creating a false impression about the court's decision.

According to Abdullahi, there was no order from the court invalidating or disqualifying their candidate. He firmly stated that the judgment did not include any such directive, and any claims to the contrary were baseless.

Abdullahi announced that they would appeal the judgment, reaffirming their commitment to adhering to the legal process. He expressed confidence that their position would be upheld in accordance with the law. He reiterated that the primary remains valid and that their candidate has not been disqualified, setting the record straight on the matter.

According to him, "The judgment entails that the primary still remains valid. However, the interpretation was the bone of contention at the court. The counsel of the delegate needs to be cautioned for giving the impression that there was a consequential order. There was no consequential order by my Lord to that effect. We are certainly going to appeal the judgment, and that is the position of the law. There was no order stating that our candidate has been invalidated or disqualified."
