Yemen’s Houthis, in collaboration with the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, have claimed responsibility for a joint military operation targeting a significant location in the Israeli city of Haifa. Despite this assertion, there have been no confirmed reports of any such attack taking place, according to Reuters.

Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree made the announcement during a televised statement, asserting that the operation involved the use of "a number of winged missiles." However, Saree did not provide specifics about the intended target.

Contrary to the claims, there have been no recorded attacks in or around Haifa, nor anywhere else in Israel. The most recent air raid sirens were activated at 5 p.m., responding to a Hezbollah missile barrage directed at Kiryat Shmona, a northern city. Earlier in the day, a drone alert was issued in the Golan Heights, and the Israeli army reported intercepting two UAVs in southern Lebanon before they could enter Israeli airspace.

The Houthis and the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, both of which are aligned with Iran, have a history of making exaggerated claims about their military actions. Their statements often do not align with the actual events on the ground. This pattern appears to be continuing with the recent assertion of an attack on Haifa.

The purported joint operation underscores the ongoing tension in the region, where groups aligned with Iran frequently posture and issue threats against Israel. Despite the lack of evidence supporting the latest claim, it highlights the persistent and volatile nature of the conflict.

In the context of regional security, these unsubstantiated claims serve as a reminder of the complex dynamics at play. They also underscore the need for vigilance and verification in assessing threats and responses. Israel’s defenses remain on high alert, prepared to address any real threats that may arise amidst the backdrop of such declarations.
