According to The Nation, Former Ondo Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi, has expressed confidence in his chances of winning the primary election of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with a significant margin. Ajayi is among the seven aspirants vying for the party's gubernatorial ticket in the November election, with 627 delegates set to participate in the polls.

Speaking to journalists on Thursday morning, Ajayi highlighted his extensive campaign efforts across the state's 18 local government areas, emphasizing why he believes he is the most qualified candidate to defeat the incumbent APC government. He asserted that if elected, he would bring about positive changes to the state, ensuring the happiness of its citizens.

Ajayi remained optimistic about his prospects in the primary, citing the perceived division within the APC as an advantage for the PDP. He expressed confidence that delegates would honor their commitments to vote for him, emphasizing his ability to unify the party and prioritize the welfare of its members. Ajayi's remarks underscore the competitive nature of the primary election and his determination to secure victory for the PDP in the forthcoming gubernatorial contest.

According to him: “You can see that the APC is already a divided house. The PDP needs a strong candidate like myself to secure victory.

“I am very optimistic of winning today’s primary. I have told the delegates my vision and mission and they know that I know how to take care of party members. They know I can make everybody happy.
