Pro-Wike Lawmakers: Why Are They Trying To Misinform The Public With Propaganda?- Ikenga Ugochinyere

The G-60 opposition lawmakers' spokesman in Rivers State, Honorable Ikenga Ugochinyere, has reaffirmed that the seats held by pro-Wike legislators who switched from the PDP to the APC are still empty.

He made it clear that no court, not even the Appeal Court, had ruled that their defection was lawful or that the vote on December 13, 2023, which declared their seats empty, was invalid.

In an interview with TVC News, Ugochinyere accused the lawmakers who support Wike of disseminating false information and propaganda in order to mislead the people and further their objectives.

He emphasized that there is not a single court ruling that backs up their allegation, and he challenged them to show one.

He said, "These Pro-Wike Lawmakers seats remain vacant; the vote on proceedings on December 13, 2023, has not been voided by any court."

"There's no court, including the Appeal Court, that has declared that those who left their political party at a time when there was no division did the right thing. Is there any such judgment? So why are they trying to misinform the public with propaganda to achieve what?"
