Drake Fans Attack Rapper Rick Ross After Dissing Drake at Canada Show

opera.com 2 days ago

The feud between rapper Rick Ross and star Drake exploded into an outright brawl during a show Ross was putting on in Canada. Ross had just concluded his set by playing Kendrick Lamar’s diss track, “Not Like Us,” aimed at the Canadian rapper. As the music continued filling the room, Ross stepped down from the stage only to be met by a group of people who were less than thrilled with his final song choice.

In a video released by TMZ, about 15 men gathered around Ross after his performance at the Ignite Music Festival in Vancouver. The tension escalated as Lamar’s No. 1 hit, which calls Drake a “certified pedophile,” blared in the background. Suddenly, a man threw a punch at Ross, leading to an enormous fight involving Ross’s entourage. The video also captured several men brutally kicking and punching another man on the ground. Adding insult to injury, Drake “liked” a video of the fight posted on Instagram.

Ross reportedly told TMZ that no one from his team suffered any serious injuries from the attack and added, “Vancouver is a beautiful city, and he can’t wait to go back.” Despite their past collaborations, things turned sour when Drake’s diss track “Push Ups” leaked online, seemingly calling out Ross and Lamar. Ross hit back with his own diss track, “Champagne Moments,” in which he claimed Drake got a nose job. He continued talking smack about Drake on social media, calling him “white boy” and giving him the now infamous nickname "BBL Drizzy".

The rap beef between Drake and Lamar started last year when Drake and J. Cole released their song “First Person Shooter,” claiming they, along with Lamar, are “the big three” in hip-hop.

It’s clear that tensions remain high between these artists, and their fans are not afraid to express their loyalty in physical ways. As the feud continues, the music world watches closely to see what unfolds next.
