Anambra CP Retires, Vows to Challenge Dangote in Business Venture

According to reports from DAILY POST, the Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, CP Aderemi Adeoye, bid farewell to the Nigeria Police Force during a ceremonial pull-out parade held at the Dr Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka on Saturday.

As he stepped into retirement, CP Adeoye announced his ambitious plans to venture into business, aiming to give Africa's wealthiest man, Aliko Dangote, a run for his money.

Addressing the gathering, CP Adeoye reflected on his illustrious career, spanning diverse challenges across Nigeria and abroad.

He recounted his experiences confronting militancy in the Niger Delta, combating Boko Haram insurgency in the North East, and addressing IPOB militancy in the South East.

Despite facing gunfire and bombs, CP Adeoye expressed gratitude for emerging unscathed and hailed the resilience of his colleagues in the Anambra State Police Command.

Highlighting his extensive training both locally and internationally, CP Adeoye revealed his foray into the world of investments with the establishment of Alpha Trust Investment Club (ATIC) Limited in 2018.

Starting with a modest sum of N54 million, the club has since amassed investments exceeding N20 billion.

With his retirement commencing on May 1, CP Adeoye announced his intention to focus on business endeavors full-time, vowing to challenge Aliko Dangote's dominance in the business arena within the next decade.

In recognition of his contributions to maintaining security and fostering peace in Anambra State, CP Adeoye received accolades from the state's Deputy Governor, Dr Onyekachi Ibezim.

Dr Ibezim commended CP Adeoye's dedication, sincerity, and doggedness in combating insecurity, which has led to a significant improvement in the state's security landscape.

Expressing gratitude for CP Adeoye's service, Dr Ibezim declared him an honorary citizen of Anambra and wished him success in his future endeavors.
