Veteran Yoruba movie actress Iya Awero has revealed why she stopped acting in Yoruba movies, contrary to what some people have been saying about her, while also stating the role that her children have been playing in her life.
In a video that was posted on the official YouTube channel of Kunleafodtv during an interview with Kunle Afod, she disclosed that she did not stop acting in Yoruba movies because she was suffering, saying that her children have been taking good care of her.
In her statement, she said, "I'm still acting in movies, but most of the movies I feature in are English movies and not Yoruba movies.
"I stop acting in Yoruba films not because I'm suffering, my children are taking care of me.
"When Kunle Afod was in America, he used to send me money, and I was so surprised because I didn't ask for it."
