Edo Election: APC Deputy Candidate Throws Down the Gauntlet, Challenges Obaseki to ‘Walk the Talk’

opera.com 2 days ago

In a bold challenge, Honorable Dennis Idahosa, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Deputy Gubernatorial Candidate in the upcoming Edo State Governorship Election, dared Governor Godwin Obaseki to take a walk with his opponent, Asue Ighodalo, through the streets of Benin City and other parts of the state.

According to Punch, speaking at the inauguration of the Oredo Local Government Area campaign councils, Idahosa asserted that Obaseki, who has been in office for nearly eight years, is disconnected from the people. He claimed that if Obaseki and his opponent, Asue Ighodalo, were to walk together, Obaseki would "come back bleeding" due to his alleged disconnection from the populace.

Meanwhile, the APC Gubernatorial Candidate, Monday Okpebholo, pledged that his administration would focus on working for the people's progress, unlike the current administration, which he claimed has failed the state. Okpebholo emphasized that his government would not be swayed by gossip but would prioritize the welfare of Edo State's citizens.
