Eedris Turayo Abdulkareem Ajenifuja, a Nigerian hip-hop artist, has given his take on governance in Nigeria.
Recall that Nigerians have taken to the streets to express their grievances regarding the hike in the price of commodities.
This hardship in the Nigerian economy is said to emanate from the removal of fuel subsidies by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
However, in a video posted by Sahara TV, the songwriter noted that the removal of the fuel subsidy was the biggest mistake ever made by President Tinubu.
He also maintained that the president, before taking such an arduous decision, should have made enquiries from the outgoing administration led by Muhammadu Buhari.
According to the video, "You did not know what Buhari left on the ground; you did not know what fuel subsidy is all about, and you came up and said it was good to remove the fuel subsidy; that was the biggest mistake the president made.".
