On 7th July, 2024 the Kano State Chairman of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Hashimu Dungurawa while speaking to newsmen in his Lugard House office, revealed that Kano State had never witnessed a wicked Governor like Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje whose wickedness did not leave behind even a pathetic thousand of Civil Service Retirees in the State because he refused to the retirees their gratuities and even their monthly Pension.
According to the Daily Post, the Kano State Chairman of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Hashimu Dungurawa said "Kano, has never witnessed a wicked Governor like Ganduje whose wickedness did not leave behind even a pathetic thousand of Civil Service Retirees. The sufferings and misgovernance of Ganduje still Languished on Kano People, with the retirees left behind to wallow in destitution and abject Poverty. You can see that after refusing to pay the retirees the gratuities, even their monthly Pension, the Government of Ganduje applied a deductions method which though was illegal, which at the end of his eight years in office was said to have illegally deducted well over N5.4 Billion."
It was learned that some days ago the administration of the Governor of Kano State, Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf flagged off the second phase of the payment of entitlements to pensioners and retirees of the Kano State Civil Service in the sum of five billion naira to settle about four thousand beneficiaries.
