Supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and president-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stormed the streets of Abuja on Monday to protest against the failure of world leaders to congratulate Tinubu and the calls for an interim government.

The protesters also insisted they are solidly behind INEC Chairman Professor Mahmood Yakubu and nothing must happen to him, as they claimed this is the most transparent election in the history of Nigeria.

Supreme Leader of the Protest, Smart Edwards, advised all Nigerians to come together and work with Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Smart also gave his thoughts on what Peter Obi Vice President Datti Ahmed said in an interview, saying there is no president elect and that he would never appear in public again if he made the statement during Obasanjo's days.

Smart Edwards said "The people who were injured during these elections are Nigerian citizens. They are also Native Americans. We are calling on the opposition, particularly because we want to correct the erroneous view of Peter Obi’s running mate, Datti Ahmed, that there is no President-elect. If he had said that in the days of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, he would never appear in public again, but this is a government that supports democracy".
