Security analyst and counter-insurgency expert, Zagazola has revealed that there is currently a fierce gun battle between ISWAP terrorists and Buduma fighters in Shuwari, Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State.
The Security analyst revealed this via a statement on his X.com platform.
The statement reads, "Reports from implacable indicate that an intense firefight has erupted between Buduma fighters and Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) militants in Shuwari, Kukawa Local Government Area.
"As of 060600A (6:06 AM) this morning, the clash has resulted in a high volume of gunfire, with both sides exchanging heavy fire.
"Details on casualties and the current situation are still sketchy, but sources confirm that the battle is ongoing.
"We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as more information becomes available."
In the past few months, reports have indicated that there has been a lot of infighting between terrorists and bandit groups.
Security analysts report that these fights are simply for domination and who would resign supreme among the terrorist camp.
