During yesterday's Anti-government Protest, there were claims that Activist Khalif Kairo did not participate in it and many thought that he had been paid by some people to avoid it because he was a big mobilizer via his Twitter handle.
However, Khalif Kairo has cleared the romours about those claims. Via his official Facebook page, Khalif Kairo has confirmed that it is true that he poured water to to himself. Below is the screenshot of his post;
In his post above, Khalif Kairo said that he did this because, water neutralizes effects of pink water that was produced by water canons to disperse the group of protesters in the streets. He said that the water is filled with chemicals that burn someone's skin and the first remedy is to neutralize it with water.
Khalif Kairo went ahead to hit his critics by telling them that they wouldn't know it because they were not at the streets. His confirmation will regain confidence that protesters had in him because, many felt that Khalif betrayed them when they needed him most.
