President Tinubu Mourns Passing of Veteran Journalist Kabir Yusuf

According to reports from PUNCH, President Bola Tinubu has expressed his condolences to the family of veteran journalist Kabir Yusuf, who passed away on Tuesday. Yusuf had covered the State House for many years until his death.

In a statement signed by Ajuri Ngelale, the President's Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Tinubu conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to Yusuf's family during this time of grief.

Yusuf was the Federal Capital Territory correspondent for The Triumph Newspaper and Radio France Internationale Hausa.

The President's statement read, "The President prays for the repose of the soul of the departed and comfort to his family in this time of grief and always."

Colleagues of Yusuf in the State House Press Corps have begun mourning the loss of the veteran reporter, who was affectionately known as "Kabir Sokoto." They described him as a friendly and hardworking journalist.

Yusuf was reported to have recently returned from a pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia just a few days prior to his passing.
