Fubara Cannot come after 4 years and tell us He's being disturbed by the Minister of FCT-Cletus Obun

In an interview with Arise News, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River State, Cletus Obun, warned Rivers Governor Siminalayi Fubara to concentrate on his duties and not blame his challenges on external factors. Obun cautioned Fubara against attributing any shortcomings to distractions from the Minister of FCT, Nyesom Wike, emphasizing that as Governor, he must take responsibility for his performance.

Obun noted that Wike, a former Governor himself, understands the responsibilities of the office and will not be a hindrance to Fubara's success. He stressed that Fubara should recognize his role as the Governor of Rivers State and deliver on his promises, without relying on excuses about distractions from Abuja.

"I want to sound a note of warning...The Governor should concentrate...Nobody will take the excuse that somebody was distracting him," Obun said, emphasizing the need for Fubara to focus on his responsibilities and deliver results.

"I want to sound a note of warning. The Governor should concentrate because you're focused on achieving, you cannot come after four years and tell us that you're being disturbed by the Minister of FCT. He should know that he's the Governor of Rivers State. Nobody will take the excuse that somebody was distracting him because as Minister of FCT, Wike himself is a Governor by our constitution. The Governor of Rivers State should know that he's being distracted and nobody will take excuse from him that it was the distraction from Abuja, that's why he could not perform". He said
