Sokoto-Badagry: Atiku Should Not Longer Be Angry, FEC Has Given Opportunity To Private Sectors- FG
The Federal Government has told the former Vice President of Nigeria, Alhaji Waziri Atiku Abubakar not to be angry anymore because the Federal Executive Council has opened opportunity for more private sector to participate in road construction.
This statement was contained in a post that was shared on the official X handle of Temitope Ajayi, the Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Media and Publicity.
Ajayi made the statement after the Federal Government approved procurement for the Sokoto-Illela-Badagry highway to connect with Lagos-Calabar Coastal road.
In the post that Ajayi made on his page, he said now that the Federal Government has approved the procurement for the Sokoto-Badagry to connect with the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway Atiku and his friends can get the concession for Sokoto-Badagry highway.
He wrote on his page;
"Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar should no longer be angry with the Lagos-Calabar Coastal highway, now that the Federal Executive Council has democratised the opportunity for more private sector participation in road construction. Atiku has been the most vociferous and strident in his opposition to the Lagos-Calabar Coastal highway. Alhaji Atiku and friends can now get the concession for Sokoto-Badagry highway. The more the merrier! At yesterday's FEC meeting, the Federal Government approved procurement for the Sokoto-Illela-Badagry highway to connect with Lagos-Calabar Coastal road".
