Liverpool Could Still Move for Anthony Gordon Before Deadline

According to evening standard; Despite initial reports suggesting a deal for Anthony Gordon had fallen through, Liverpool are reportedly still in the running for the England winger. The Reds' interest in Gordon has been well-documented, with Jurgen Klopp seeing the 22-year-old as a potential addition to his attacking options. However, negotiations with Newcastle have hit a snag, with the Magpies initially demanding the inclusion of young defender Jarell Quansah as part of the deal.

Liverpool are unwilling to part ways with the promising defender, and the two clubs are currently locked in a stalemate. However, with the transfer deadline looming, there is still time for a deal to be struck. Liverpool are known for their ability to pull off late deals, and they may be willing to increase their offer for Gordon in order to secure his signature. The potential arrival of Gordon would provide Liverpool with a versatile and dynamic attacker, capable of playing on either wing or as a central forward. His pace, dribbling ability, and eye for goal make him a valuable asset, and his experience in the Premier League would allow him to seamlessly integrate into the Reds' squad.
