Vigilantes Commander Arrested In Rivers State With Human Skulls

The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of the commander of a local vigilante group identified as Felix Nwaobakata with two human skulls and other body parts. 

According to the spokesperson for the State Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko, in a statement issued in Port Harcourt, on Wednesday, the suspect was arrested at his hideout in Omoku, headquarters of Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local Government Area of the state.

The police added that seven other members of the local security outfit were also arrested for sundry crimes, including murder.

Tinubu Mourns Veteran Journalist Kabir Yusuf

President Bola Tinubu has extended his condolences to the family of veteran journalist, Mr. Kabir Yusuf, who passed away on Tuesday.

According to a statement by Presidential spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, Yusuf, a veteran journalist, was the Federal Capital Territory correspondent for The Triumph Newspaper and Radio France Internationale Hausa.

He covered the State House for many years until his passing.


One Dead, 12 Arrested As Company’s Workers Protest In Oyo

The Oyo State Police Command has confirmed that one person died in a fracas that ensued in one of the manufacturing companies in Ibadan.

Workers of a private company had complained about the company’s failure to increase their wages despite the high cost of living in the country.

Vanguard gathered that most of the company’s staff who are casual staff alleged that the Federal Government palliatives given to the company were not distributed but hoarded in a place within the company promises.


Downpour Causes Flood In Lagos Community

A heavy downpour on Wednesday has left the Iyana-Oworo, Olopo Meji area leading to the 3rd Mainland Bridge underwater.

The flood rendered the road almost impassable causing gridlock and discomfort for commuters.

An X user who tweets anonymously as #JayNaijaTv shared a video of the flooded area with the caption, “Iyana-Oworo, Olopo meji area heading to 3rd Mainland Bridge this morning is completely flooded, causing long traffic that extends to Alapere.”
