JUST IN: Osun State Governor, Adeleke Suspends Key Aide

According to a report from The Nation, On Wednesday, July 3, Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State suspended Emmanuel Adebisi, his Senior Special Assistant on Civil Societies, effective immediately, pending an investigation by the Chief of Staff, Kazeem Akinleye.

A statement from the governor's spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, confirmed the suspension, though the specific reasons were not disclosed.

Governor Adeleke also cautioned transport workers in Osun State against actions leading to violence and disorder.

He instructed the Commissioner for Transportation to organize a reconciliation meeting among factions within the transport sector.

Governor Adeleke emphasized that the administration will not tolerate lawlessness or violence and urged transport officials and their members to focus on ongoing projects and good governance.

He highlighted the administration's commitment to accountability and transparency in Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), noting that the state's revenue collection has been automated and integrated into a single billing process, resulting in increased IGR due to innovations and a zero-tolerance policy for revenue leakages.
