Three Arrested for Buying Stolen Transformer Cables Worth N9.8m in Ogun

In a successful operation, the Ogun So-Safe Corps has apprehended three individuals for purchasing stolen transformer armoured cables valued at N9.8 million in OPIC Estate, Agbara. The suspects, identified as Mansirina Usman, Janadu Ahyarn, and Husseni Abdullahi, were arrested on Thursday at 7 pm following a tip-off.


According to State Commander Soji Ganzallo, the surveillance team acted swiftly on the information, leading to the arrest of the suspects. The stolen cables were initially vandalized and stolen from an unknown location, with the corps tasked with bringing the perpetrators to justice within 48 hours.


According to Punch News, the suspects confessed to buying the stolen cables from two individuals currently on the run. The recovered items include four off-cut armoured cables, cash, Android phones, wristwatches, and motorcycles.


The suspects and recovered items have been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force, Agbara Divisional Headquarters for further investigation and prosecution. Ganzallo praised the surveillance team for their swift action and reiterated the corps' commitment to combating criminal activities in the state.
