Tamuno Williams, a prominent lawyer, has publicly addressed the ongoing conflict between Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his predecessor, former Governor Nyesom Wike, shedding light on the power dynamics within Rivers State's governance.

In a video shared by Channels TV, Williams revealed that Governor Fubara, upon assuming office, had vowed to maintain a harmonious relationship with Wike. However, Williams alleged that Wike continued to exert influence over the state's governance during the initial months of Fubara's term.

According to Williams, Governor Fubara was restricted from making crucial appointments to key positions, with Wike retaining control over these decisions. Additionally, the former governor reportedly maintained authority over the state's aircraft, further symbolizing his dominance.

"Even the state aircraft were under the control of former Governor Wike," Williams stated. "The picture was that Governor Fubara was supposed to be a puppet, he was supposed to be just an occupier. In fact, what was expected was that Fubara's first term was an extension of the tenure of Governor Wike."
