The late singer Mohbad's mother, Abosede, claimed that her son never mentioned anything negative about Olawunmi, his wife.
In an interview with Saturday Beats, Abosede said that her late son never told her he wasn't happy with his wife. "My son never said anything bad about her to me," the woman remarked. Before he passed away, my son and I grew closer, and he never said anything unfavorable to me regarding her.
She went on to say that Mohbad never disclosed to her his suspicions that Wunmi was having an affair.
The late singer's mother added that a lot of people were picking on Olawunmi due to the public perception that Mohbad's father held of her. "People are criticizing her because of the way Mohbad's father has presented her to the public, giving the impression that she was involved in her husband's demise," the woman stated. However, that is untrue. Wunmi herself produced the audio tape of her disagreement with Mohbad that was posted the day my kid passed away. She told me that she intended to play it back to Mohbad, who had always denied ever speaking to her in that way, when I asked her why she had done that.
Abosede said, “I feel that Mohbad’s father wants to be in charge of everything my son left behind as the head of the family. He has forgotten that there are laws. The fact that my son’s lawyer did not accede to his request is why he is coming for them. He probably thinks that if he lies against them to the public, Wunmi will get tired and leave everything, and the lawyer will also get frustrated.”
