Nobody Can Write Song For Odogwu, Burna Boy Responds To Logos Olori's Comment

Nigerian singer Burna Boy has denied using songwriters, countering claims made by Davido’s signee, Logos Olori. In a recent interview with City 105.1 FM, Olori stated that prominent artists, including his boss Davido, Wizkid, and Burna Boy, rely on songwriters. Olori argued that emerging artists often write their own songs, but as their schedules become busier, they realize the necessity of using songwriters. He noted that even international stars like Chris Brown and Michael Jackson used songwriters. Olori mentioned that Davido, currently on tour following his wedding, sometimes writes his songs but often focuses on business aspects, a situation similar to that of Burna Boy and Wizkid.

Burna Boy responded on his X handle, clarifying that he does not use songwriters. He explained that names credited on his songs are producers, as Western music policies consider producers the writers of instrumentals. He stated, "Any name you see credited on my songs are only producers of the songs or featured artists, not writers. Nobody can write for Odogwu."

However, this contradicts a previous admission by Burna Boy, where he acknowledged that Peruzzi, a signee of Davido, had written a song for him.
