Prophet Joshua Iginla, the founder and senior pastor of Champions Royal Assembly, has called out the greed and heartlessness prevalent among some family members in Nigeria and Africa. In a recent YouTube video, he delivered a powerful message urging relatives to stop coveting the wealth of their deceased family members.

"If you are watching me from Nigeria or anywhere in Africa, this message is for you. What some of you are doing is bad. A woman loses her husband and is left with six children, yet you take the property meant for the children and abandon them. Do you think God will allow you to sleep peacefully? Why are we so heartless?" Iginla questioned.

He emphasized the need for family members to labor for themselves instead of preying on their deceased relatives' assets. "If you are a family member, remove your eyes from your brother’s wealth or your sister’s wealth. Labor for yourself. This is why breadwinners are dying before their time—because you are wishing for him to die so you can take over his property. Why will you not kill him?"

Iginla expressed his frustration over the common practice where a man dies, and the family seizes all the property, leaving the children without support. "A man dies, and the family takes all the property, leaving the children without schooling or sponsorship. And you are alive? Just because he had female children? Are female children not children? The wealth of that man could have sent them to university. Now, these children are struggling and resorting to desperate measures to feed their mother and go to school. And you think God will spare you?"

He urged family members to be self-reliant and allow the children of the deceased to benefit from their parents' hard work. "You are a good family member if you can look away from your brother’s or sister’s wealth. Work for yourself. Allow their children to enjoy what their parent worked for. If they extend their wealth to you, fine. If they don’t, remember you didn't work for it."
