Report: Manchester United Will Receive Compensation After Player's Summer Exit Was Confirmed

Manchester United has announced the departure of 19-year-old Omari Forson, who has joined Serie A team AC Monza following the end of his contract, according to Manchester World.

Forson chose not to renew his contract with United, seeking more opportunities for first-team football which he felt were limited at Old Trafford.

Forson’s exit, though on a free transfer, entitles United to a compensation fee due to his four-year tenure in their academy.

Monza, a club owned by former Italian president Silvio Berlusconi, achieved their historic promotion to Serie A in 2022 and secured a 12th place finish this season.

The squad includes notable players like ex-Arsenal defender Pablo Mari and Danilo D'Ambrosio, formerly of Inter Milan.

Earlier this year, Forson made his senior debut for United in an FA Cup match against Wigan Athletic.

He also started a Premier League match against Fulham. However, these appearances did not suffice to persuade Forson to continue his career at United.

Forson joined United from Tottenham in January 2019, resisting a strong interest from Arsenal the following year.

He progressed through the youth ranks, contributing significantly to the FA Youth Cup triumph alongside teammates Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo.
