He praised the bravery of the Joint Task Force (JTF) for their actions during the attacks but also noted the heartbreaking loss of a soldier in a clash with a suicide bomber.Despite the military's efforts, Senator Ndume revealed that one of the bombers was able to detonate her explosives, resulting in casualtiesi and further damage.
Furthermore, Ndume addressed the arrest of a fifth suicide bomber just before she could carry out her attack, underscoring the extremist teachings that fuel such violence. The captured bomber's willingness to die for a promised afterlife highlights the dangerous levels of radicalization in conflict zones like Gwoza.
