Dele Momodu, a member of the PDP, has asserted that certain individuals are providing financial backing to politicians within his party to undermine its efforts.

In a recent video posted on YouTube by Channels TV, Momodu pointed out that despite openly admitting to working against the party in past elections and expressing intentions to do so again, the FCT minister, Nyesom Wike, attended the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the PDP. Momodu questioned whether anyone could have prevented Wike from attending the meeting, considering the security arrangements he had from the federal government.
Momodu claimed that these actions are intended to weaken the PDP and potentially establish Nigeria as a single-party state.

During an interview on Channels Television, he remarked, "Wike sat in NEC meeting, who would have stopped him from sitting with his security apparatus from the federal government? With his federal might, who would have stopped him from entering that meeting? This is a man who said it openly that 'I worked against my party and I will work against my party again'. So they know what they are doing, all they want is to make sure there is no opposition and to make Nigeria a one party state".
